fine & rare

Committing to any piece of jewelry or watch, whether for yourself or as a gift, should be a relaxed and thoughtful experience. One that will begin a lifetime of emotional resonance. We specialize in luxury gems & timepieces, including rare and vintage models. We also can design unique and truly custom pieces as well as restore, repair or entirely redesign your heirloom jewels.

Everything about the store has been considered. It's upstairs to allow for the notion of open privacy; it's in one of the original brick & mortar buildings as a nod to heritage but in a redefined and modern way. Everything is a true iconic piece or it was custom made for our specifications. With coffee, bourbon, and champagne stocked, it's hard to leave, so plan on staying awhile.

meet the founder

David Johnson's focus on procuring only the best fine and rare means vintage and custom pieces alike are selected that will either retain or increase in value over time. On the watch front - the goal is to help our clients build a meaningful collection of timepieces that are unique, rare, valuable, and significant in the pantheons of watchmaking history.

true artisans

Our jewelers design, create and repair jewelry right out of our boutique. It would be easy to fill a book with terminology and techniques related to the making of jewelry in precious metals. Goldsmithing is a complex art with many different techniques and combinations, as well as a rich history. You are in for an experience being able to watch firsthand as our talented goldsmiths work to create beautiful pieces of art.

Brian Johnson grew up in the jewelry business, accompanying his dad to work at the family store as a kid. By the age of 14, Brian worked at the shop on a part-time basis. In the beginning, he polished jewelry, but as time went on, he started doing some bench work, basic tasks like simple solders and eventually more complicated repairs and stone-setting. After receiving his MBA and then his Graduate Gemologist degree from GIA, Brian has spent his career designing custom pieces and enjoys taking advantage of CAD/CAM software, restoring or remodeling heirloom jewels and appraising jewelry pieces.
